Frank Kennedy- Biography

From the humble beginnings of a childhood spent constantly drawing and a steady diet of comics, children’s animated cartoon shows and picture books my fascination with illustration was born.
On leaving high school after being awarded first place in Art for that year, I went on to TAFE to study fine arts for two years.
Subjects studied at TAFE included life drawing, painting, photography, Printing and color and design.
Upon completion of the course I received an Art Certificate.
After entering the work force in many varied positions such as office clerk, Mail boy, bookstore assistant, bread delivery driver and Steel manufacturing operator I went on with further Study and attained a Cartoon Illustration Diploma.

Since receiving a Diploma of Cartoon Illustration from the Australian College of Journalism in 1994
I have designed cartoon illustrations for a large variety of different businesses such as veterinary clinics, gyms, clothing manufacturers, royal naval offices, Chicken takeaway shops as well as book and magazine publishers.

My Illustrations have been used for posters, t-shirts, business logos, murals, Cards, Video covers, clothing tags as well as magazines, books and comic books.

My services have also been commissioned to produce over a hundred Caricatures by many businesses and the general public.

I have also had the opportunity to teach cartoon classes and poster design classes to groups of young children aged from six to sixteen.
